If a student should test positive:
If a student is a close contact / someone in the household tests positive for COVID:
- Student should remain home for 5 days after the positive test or first onset of symptoms. For example; if a student tests positive or begins showing symptoms on a Wednesday, they may return the following Monday as long as they are 24 hours without a fever and symptom free.
- When students return, they should mask for an additional 5 days. This means they will keep their mask on in class, but be able to remove it outside for recess and while they eat.
If a student is a close contact / someone in the household tests positive for COVID:
- Students should mask for ten days after the possible exposure.
- It's recommended that students test on the 6th day after possible exposure.
- Students should be monitored closely for symptoms.
- Should symptoms appear, students should test immediately.
